Client & Context

AKFA Holding is one of the largest holdings in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, operating in multiple industries: construction materials, home appliances, construction, tourism, healthcare, private education, and more. The holding consists of 40+ companies.

The founder travels frequently and struggles to showcase the brand. It's hard to show 20+ single websites. So client needed also one unified website easy to show other founders and investors.

Spoiler: the work went smooth, deadlines were met, and the client was satisfied.

Imaga is highly competent in technical implementation. E.g. they implemented the full-screen scroll on the homepage without affecting performance. Very convenient that they have expertise in Gen AI. As part of the next project, they will build a chatbot for us.

From UX Research to Content Management

UX research and prototyping

We researched the holding’s structure and benchmarked how other large groups present multiple businesses on one site. The key challenge was to showcase 40+ companies from different business directions within a single, easy-to-navigate website.

Instead of uniform page structures, we designed for business areas a custom UX where key sections use unique layouts, allowing us to keep the experience simple while fitting in a large volume of content.

Holding-level UI design

Despite the ambitious UI level and high visual standards, we delivered interface within the timeline.

Initially, the custom animations were estimated to take around one month to produce. By leveraging a specialized animation plugin, we reduced this effort to only two weeks.

Backend & Frontend development

We built the backend on Laravel and the frontend on React and Next.js.

Backend and frontend development ran in parallel, starting before the full UI was finalized, which required strong coordination and technical maturity from the team.

Despite heavy use of high-resolution imagery and animations, we achieved strong performance optimization, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions across the site.
